The owner of the pension came to this part of the country as a guest on a winter day, and he immediately fell in love with the beautiful landscape. So he decided to move from a city to settle down here, by building a pension. He was mesmerized by Geumdang Valley and Geumdangsan Mountain, which are a beautiful view in every season. There were wild flowers along the valley and wild vegetables that are hard to find in the city. He could even see millions of stars in the sky and get to enjoy rafting, bicycling, boiled corns, famous Gangwon-do potatoes, autumn tint, and white buckwheat flowers. Who wouldn't love these?
