If one passes through Iljumun Gate before going toward Woljeongsa Temple, he or she can face a spruce forest. Odaesan Mountain Woljeongsa Temple Spruce Forest Walkway that is known to be the acme of a trip to Odaesan Mountain is cited as one of Korea’s three representative spruce forests and has achieved fame as ‘Forests of the Millennium’ as it has sustained for more than 1,000 years.
While walking on the forest path, visitors naturally feel peaceful and even sacred and free from world cares. For this reason, it became the setting of the Buddhist film titled ‘A Little Monk’ portraying how a young monk grows up, and it appeared in the last scene of the film. In addition, a concert of reconciliation appearing in the last scene of the film titled ‘The Walk’ was filmed here.
