Korea Botanic Garden located at the foot of Odaesan Mountain in Byeongnae-ri, Daegwallryeong-myeon, PyeongChang-gun, Gangwon Province is composed of only the Korean flowers and trees as its name suggests and aims to preserve Korean native flowers. It was designated by Korea Forest Service for the first time in 2002, and it is located 650 meters above the sea level in an area covering about 200,000 ㎡. Since it is equipped with 500 kinds of rare wild plants, it draws a lot of attention not only from the general public but also from associations of wild flower-lovers and researchers. As it has indoor exhibition halls, visitors can use a gallery and an image data center as well. It was the setting of the drama titled ‘The Scent of Summer.’
