It is said to have been named as Balwangsan Mountain based on a sad legend about Balwangie and Ongnyeo. Balwangsan Mountain located at the back of Yongpyeong Resort, which is the largest vacation resort in Korea, makes the mountain climbers let out a whoop of joy and excitement while appreciating various species of trees at the summit and the surrounding scenery which is a panoramic view of the ski resort in the winter. It is also famous for sentiment of snow-covered fields.
Balwangsan Mountain has soft smooth trails, it is easy to climb it in both the spring and winter seasons.
